As a Partner in Business Services, Andrew provides clients with comprehensive strategic advice that maximises their business competitiveness. His outgoing personality allows him to connect with his clients on a personal level, and he loves being involved in helping them to achieve success.

With extensive international experience, Andrew has worked with many diverse businesses and cultures, and this has helped shape his perspective on business.

Andrew’s areas of expertise include optimising business performance and he is heavily involved with Trusts and Estates.

Andrew is a former Black Sticks Hockey player, Assistant National coach and Selector, and he is currently the coach of the Canterbury Cavaliers hockey team. Outside of work and his involvement with hockey, Andrew is kept busy with three young children and supporting their various sporting endeavours.

Professional experience

Mike is a Partner with over 25 years’ experience and is on the Board of Nexia NZ. He is passionate about working with clients to make better business decisions in a world where information and knowledge are key. 

He specialises in advising for the primary sector, manufacturing, preschools, property and exporting.

His accounting experience includes operating outsourced virtual controller roles for businesses, until such time as they grow in size to take on someone internally.  He has been involved in providing financial accounting support for an IPO listing, as well as many business acquisitions and financing.

He is a member of CAANZ, the Institute of Directors, and a Board Trustee for Christchurch Boys’ High School and he is also involved with several not-for-profit organisations. In his spare time, he is an occasional mountain biker and golfer, and is kept busy on the side lines supporting his three young boys playing rugby, rowing and cycling.

Professional experience

Craig has extensive experience in the commercial environment. He began his career in Auckland, and then moved to London where he began working for investment banks JP Morgan and Credit Suisse. On returning to New Zealand he worked for HSBC in Auckland.  This experience allows Craig to use insights from industry trends and markets, to develop innovative approaches and individually tailored solutions for his clients.

Craig specialises in Corporate Advisory and Business Services, where his sector experience focuses on the medical industry and high net worth individuals and professionals.

Craig is a Board Director of Nexia Christchurch. He is also an accredited Insolvency Practitioner, a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association of New Zealand (RITANZ).

When not at work, you will find Craig out mountain biking, or spending time with family, including his four children and dog.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies as well as a Graduate Certificate in Commerce with Distinction. Craig is also a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a member of INSOL New Zealand.

Pam specialises in business advisory services for small to medium size enterprises including management accounting, budgets/cashflows, asset protection, business appraisals and taxation and general accounting compliance.

Her industry experience ranges from the health sector, which includes dental, doctors, specialists and pharmacists, to the building sector including builders, project managers, electricians, architects and engineers.

She has extensive experience in setting up trading structures to achieve effective tax planning, while also providing asset protection.  In addition, she can assist with due diligence, business appraisals, and governance, and has helped businesses of all sizes with budgeting and cashflows.

Outside of work Pam is a director of a State-Owned Enterprise. She is also a keen skier, spending her winters on the slopes of Mt Hutt and loves clothes and all things fashion.

Professional experience

Jane specialises in business advisory, due diligence, taxation, audit and assurance, governance and human resources. 

Her expertise is wide ranging and includes experience in the sectors of rest homes and hospitals, health, waterparks, shipping entities, construction and trades, as well as residential and commercial property.

Jane is a people person and a natural communicator, who also happens to be an Accountant. 30 years’ as a Chartered Accountant has taught her the importance of providing clients with easily understood information to translate complex situations.  Her accounting and business advisory experience includes working for the ‘Big 4’ accounting firms, inside corporates, and owning her own practice. 

Jane prides herself on never losing sight of the fact her clients are real people, with real lives and the way she approaches their business concerns is with real solutions. To her, accountancy is about strong personal relationships, where clients see her as their first port of call, even if it’s not directly about accounting advice.

Jane is a member of the Institute of Directors and the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.  In addition, Jane is a Director and Chair of a specialised rest home and hospital for Veterans, Director of a health-related board in Canterbury and a Co-opted Advisor to a large family company and trust.

Outside of work Jane enjoys Bridge, travel, time with her family and weekends out of town at the beach.

Christine works across Business Services and Insolvency, where she has broad sector knowledge ranging from agribusiness to manufacturing.

She first experienced accounting from the perspective of her parents’ business, where the accountant explained things purely in technical terms which told them very little.  Christine aims to deliver a better experience to her clients. Her own experience taught her that a personal approach, along with an ability to translate technical terms into easily understood language, really adds value to clients.

Paul has over 30 years experience in the provision of financial accounting and taxation advice, and more than 10 years as a financial planner.

Paul’s extensive experience in public accounting and taxation services includes tax and business consulting to SMEs through to small public companies along with individual tax compliance and advice, including to expatriates; business valuations and strategic wealth creation and financial planning for individuals and business owners. Paul has also worked in the fields of forensic accounting and fraud investigation and has experience with a range of not-for-profit organisations.

Paul has sat on and advised a number of company boards and Finance Committees including a large Private College, a Public Benevolent Institution that grew from a turnover of $300,000 to $50m, various SMEs including Bourne Bathroom & Kitchen Supplies, along with a company in the construction industry and was a founding Board member of Business Network Group Inc.

Paul received the Minter Ellison award for achieving the highest results in Victoria for his Graduate Certificate of Financial Planning. He was also awarded Lonsdale Advisor of the Year - 2021.
